Skills for Life Forum

Focusing upon the city wide provision of Numeracy, Literacy and English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL)

Chair: Angela Pamely, Adult Learning Manager, Varndean College
The members of the Forum are representatives from a variety of organisations that provide skills for life and ESOL training in Brighton & Hove.

The Forum's objectives are to:

• increase the quantity and quality of Skills for Life provision by working with other agencies including Sussex Learning and Skills Council, Skills for Life Development Centre and Jobcentre Plus,
• scrutinise the range of provision on offer in the city to ensure that any unmet need is recognised and planned for, and that providers are encouraged and supported in addressing this need, and
• source additional funding to allow these to occur.
