Gill Ditch - Education Business Partnership consultant

  • Gill Ditch is a consultant for the education business partnership. The Education Business Partnership is an education business link organisation aimed at increasing effective involvement of business within education. Gill has a specific focus in enabling businesses to support the secondary school curriculum. There are a number of impending changes to the secondary school curriculum specifically around the introduction of wider choices; including the introduction of the Diplomas. There are a great number of ways that business people can support education.
  • Gill has worked in education in the local area for a number of years and has experience in teaching across the age range; most recently in the delivery of a range of vocationally orientated courses in secondary schools. She has worked as a consultant for the EBP over a number of years and has also been employed as a work related learning co-ordinator. Gill has experience of working in industry in both the retail and financial services sectors. She also has experience of successfully writing materials for applied and vocational courses.
 
Gill’s role is to:
 
  • Liaise with business partners in order to discuss the ways they can   support schools
  • Broker links between schools, teachers and business partners
  • Support the development of materials for work related learning and enterprise activities
  • Facilitate events for schools and links with business partners
