Therese Cole - Education Business Partnership Consultant

  • Therese Cole is a consultant for the Education Business Partnership. The Education Business Partnership is an education business link organisation which is aimed at increasing the amount of effective links between the business community and education.   Therese brokers links with business partners to support mainly 14 – 19 schools and colleges , and also manages some primary projects. The EBP offers a 'traded services' offer to schools and colleges in the City.  
  • Therese has a background in industry, having managed the Apprenticeship programme for 20 years at a major local financial services organisation. Therese has worked with local training providers, the Careers Service and has extensive experience in the delivery of work based learning through nine years with the Education Business Partnership.
 
Therese role is to :
 
  • Provide the liaison service between Brighton & Hove schools and colleges and the business community on behalf of the LEA
  • Connect with businesses to provide support for work related learning and the Apprenticeship programme
  • Facilitate Enterprise events for schools
  • Co-ordinate EBP projects set up to benefit student learning in the City
  • Champion learning for reading and financial capability by engaging with suitable businesses to support learning.
  • Identify opportunities to develop partnerships with employers and other agencies, to support schools and learning.
