Spring Forward hits the streets
On the weekend of Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of March we will celebrate all the fantastic learning which has taken place over the past six months during the Brighton & Hove Adult Learning Festival.
As well as showing what has been achieved the weekend is also about doing — so if you weren’t able to attend one of our many dynamic learning sessions why not join us during the ‘Spring Forward’ weekend and get involved in adult learning yourself.
Recent research undertaken by UNESCO and IFACCA (International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultural Agencies) has shown that a key factor in a quality learning experience is to have a celebratory event in which to share the learning. We felt it was appropriate to show of our learning by showing you some of the many learning activities we ofered, and encourage you to have a go!

What now?
The Learning Festival and Spring Forward were funded by a one-of grant from the Transformation Fund, but we want to continue the journey by working with the many partners who helped to shape it. We looked towards the future and used the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics as a framework for engagement and
legacy.
‘Trash Walk’ ( Jubilee Square 15:00 Sat 20th March) is a unique, intergenerational catwalk presentation ofering an opportunity to raise environmental awareness and spread the ‘rethink rubbish’ message.
This is inspired by the 2012 educational sustainability theme.
