True Stories & Family Tales:
an introduction to the art of story telling.
Stories have been told in every culture across the world from the earliest times. It is a great way of sharing experiences and values with others in your family and community. All of us are naturally storytellers. We tell each other stories all the time. But storytelling is also an art that can be learnt. Find out more at this free introductory workshop, which will support people to share their stories with others in their community.
We also hope to develop a group to take part in TRUE STORIES, a project for National Storytelling Week (30 January to 6 February 2010) in which local people are invited to tell a ten minute story from their own life to others in their community.

Imagine a Victorian style market inside the
church designed to evoke what all of us think
Christmas should be like – mince pies, mulled
wine, real ale and about twenty festive stalls and a chance to learn at
the Christmas paper textiles workshop, making wrapping paper,
boxes, cards and decorations. Join us for Christmas sweets, cookies,
pickles, jams and cakes, a Bran Tub, St. Nick’s Grotto, stocking fillers,
Christmas bags, pots, stockings and decorations, toys and balloons.
There’ll be carollers, hand bells and lots of children’s activities.
Outside a brazier and the smell of chestnuts as the afternoon darkens
and a Christmas chill descends – Christmas as it is in our memories
and as it will be again.
