Welcome to the new style Brighton & Hove Learning Partnership newsletter, for November 2008. There is an enormous amount happening right now and we thought it the perfect time to share it with you all.

14-19 Updates
There was a highly succesful Diploma Roadshow at Hove Town Hall on the 23rd and 24th October. This was aimed primarily at learners in years 9 and 11. The stakeholder event on the Thursday evening was particularly well attended and you can read more about the entire event here
The KS4 Pre-Engagement Programme
We welcome Kirsty Peckham to the team who is the Project Officer for the newly created KS4 Pre-Engagement Programme. This exciting new project runs in conjunction with East Sussex, while the exisiting KS4 Engagement Programme is now in its second year.
The Education Business Partnership
Therese and Gill have been busy organising a Social Enterprise Event, creating a new EBP website and organising an information session for French business students. Here are the updates from the EBP
They have also produced the Ready Steady Work DVD designed to highlight employability skills to learners at KS4.

Community Skills & Learning

Adult Learning
Dan Shelley, Learning Partnership manager, has some exciting news regarding better linked Adult advice services across the city. The BHLP has succesfully applied to prototype the Adult Advancement and Careers Service.
